As I mentioned on our Festival Festival special a few weeks back, local label Malted Milk just put out a totally rad zine/compilation. Lovingly compiled and assembled by Kim Larson and Liz Vaughan, it features all sorts of pictures, poems and even recipes by folks from around Charleston, plus a CD-R packed with music from over two dozen local music-makers.
Copies can be purchased at 52.5 Records here in Charleston or direct from Malted Milk. An online store is on the way, but for now you can just email Kim at kim(at)maltedmilk.org for ordering info.
What's more, Malted Milk has released all the songs from their 2007 zine/comp, Come Inside and Close the Door, as a free digital download! That's 23 songs for zero dollars, a pretty good deal if you ask me. Click the link below to download the comp!
